Ulrike Kluge

Prof. Dr. phil. Dipl.-Psych. Ulrike Kluge is Professor of Psychological and Medical Integration and Migration Research at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Head of the Department of Migration, Mental and Physical Health and Health Promotion at the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. A psychologist, psychoanalyst, and group analyst, her work focuses on migration, trauma, transcultural psychiatry, global mental health, and health equity. She directs the Center for Intercultural Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (ZIPP) at Charité and leads numerous international research initiatives exploring the impact of migration, displacement, racism, and social inequality on mental health and psychosocial care.


Nora Amin

Nora Amin is a renowned multidisciplinary artist. In her work as a choreographer, dancer, actress, vocalist, playwright, theatre director, author, theoretician and academic scholar, she focuses on stage activism, decoloniality, political resistance, performance as a live archive of memory, feminist empowerment, contemporary participatory grief rituals, and trauma healing. Her acclaimed productions in Germany include: Migrating the Feminine, Rite of Revival, Reinventing Memories, MY DANCE, Re-rooting, WOUND , HEALING and GRIEF. Her recent books are “Migrating the Feminie”, on sexual violence as a political weapon (2018) and “Dance of the Persecuted” (2021), a feminist perspective on the history of Baladi dance in Egypt linking coloniality with patriarchy and capitalism, published by MSB Matthes & Seitz, Berlin. As a grief and trauma healing practitioner, she has been developing artistic and performative experiences where healing integrates both a scientific foundation, a creative ritualistic approach and her own signature as an artistic medium.

© The Healing Arts is a series of discursive encounters exploring the intersections of art and medicine. Initiated and hosted by curator and educator Lukas Feireiss, the series is organized in collaboration with the International Society for Arts and Medicine and the Network Arts and Medicine at Charité Universitätsmedizin since 2023.

The events take place on Wednesdays from 18:00 to 20:00 at Campus Charité Mitte, 10117 Berlin.
